FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
HOW DO I CLEAN MY WAX BURNER?
There are several ways to clean a wax burner depending on the type.
The easiest way I have found is:
- Light a tealight (or turn on your burner if electric).
- Give it a minute or two then the edge of the wax will start to melt then you can just slip out the old wax.
- Wipe with a tissue then pop your new scent straight in.
- Some people like to use a little fairy liquid and wash the tea light burners to remove residue from the tealight but please remember to dry thoroughly if doing this as wax and water do not mix and could your melts to start spitting causing burn injuries.
WHAT SIZE TEALIGHTS SHOULD I USE?
We only recommend using a 4 hr tealight with our melts.
Please never use a 6/8/12 hr tealight with any wax melt or oil burner.
Anything more than a 4hr tealight will superheat your burner creating several potential issues including:
- Overheated wax which can be a burn risk.
- There is a risk the oils in the wax may ignite if superheated.
- Superheating the wax burner may cause it to creak. This can allow the wax to seep through and ignite on the flame creating a fire risk.
You will also find that as the wax is superheated it burns off the fragrance oil at a much faster rate meaning your melts don’t last as long and the scent is affected.
CAN YOUR MELTS BE USED IN ELECTRIC WARMERS?
Yes. Our Pixie Dust Melts can be used in most electric warmers however they do not release fragrance as well in Scentsy warmer as these do not seem to get hot enough.
All electric warmers sold by Pixie Dust Melts are perfect to use with our melts.
There are distinct differences between burning with an electric warmer and a tealight burner. Both will produce a good level of hot throw for all Pixie Dust Melts however many people find that tealights tend to produce a stronger scent for slightly shorter time (still up to 60 hrs a snap bar) while electric tend to give a slightly more subtle scent for longer due to the heat levels applied to the wax.

HOW MANY HOURS BURN CAN I GET FROM A SNAP BAR?

Some of our Pixie Testers have even managed 4+ tealights with the scent still going strong.

WHAT DOES VAULT BOUND MEAN?
A common phrase for House of Mouse fans "in the Vault" is the phrase used for something that's currently on a break taking from being sold.
Sometimes this will because the scent is more seasonal and it'll be in the vault for a few months before returning or it could be it's being retired.
If something is Vault Bound this means this could be your last chance to get the sent so make sure you grab them before they are gone.
